All Kensington candidates go through a 4-phase Screening Procedure and Professional Etiquette certification before you even meet them.  Our high standards are unwavering, you only meet candidates that have passed our screening and have experience caring for children.

Kensington administers the following on all candidates:

Level 1: Childcare Skills Assessment Test
All candidates must pass with a "B" or higher to get to the second level of screening.

Level 2: Behavior-based Interview
Designed to uncover how a candidate reacts under certain stressful conditions and
determines for what age the candidate is suited.

Level 3: Five-Level Background Investigation
- Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Department of Corrections (DOC),
Florida Courts (complete records)                
- Driver's License Report
- Social Security Verification
- National Aliases screening
- National Sexual Offenders/Predators screening

Level 4: Reference & Employment Gap Verification
- All childcare references
- Work history references
- Personal references
- Employment gap verification

All Kensington candidates are also trained in:
- ASHI Infant, Child & Adult CPR
- First Aid
- Professional Nanny Etiquette

At the request of the family, we can also provide health-related and investigative
checks:

- Drug test
- Fingerprinting w/ National Identity Verification
- TB & HIV Testing
- Physical Exam
- Out of State Law Enforcement Reports
- Credit Reports
- Education / Professional License Verification

Important Information About Fingerprinting
Obtaining a fingerprint card does NOT mean the candidate's identity was verified
unless the local law enforcement department ALSO ran the person's fingerprints
against the national FBI database.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will fingerprint an individual but as of APRIL 2005,
they NO LONGER SUBMIT FINGERPRINT CARDS TO THE FBI DATABASE.

Please MAKE SURE that you receive the fingerprint card ALONG WITH a certified
document that the identity has indeed been verified. If you have any questions or
